Please remove the virus like pay-wall that prevents people from accessing the website on initial address. Its just worthless.
I already use the software, so I cant sign up. Fire your web-master. I’m fine with that. Stop preventing me from the information I'm seeking by "directing" my attention. Seriously: Stop it. the URL should take you directly to a home page (probably about page). |

Hello Shinobi Gaiden,
as far as I understand, you want to have the page, that shows before accessing the "old" Worldcommunitygrid Website to be removed. Well, I seems to me that this page, which shows right at the beginning, when you go to the World Communtiy Grid website, has been made in order to make basic information more accesible on smartfones and their tiny screen. To me, the creation of this "frontpage" is simply reasonable, because more and more people use mobile devices with touchscreens. Please, go on contributing, it is worth it. And: The basic website is unchanged, so please, do not get frustrated. Have a good day MS |

Hello again,
just came to my mind: If the Worldcommunitygrid Webpage can identify, whether a person is viewing the screen form a mobile (touchscreen) device or a "standard device" (with a normal keybord) it would be a deal showing the new front screen only on touch screen devices.... a proposition as a golden compromise...... Still don't understand what are you talking about Shinobi Gaiden? Virus? Pay-wall? Do you even know what such terms mean?

WCG doesn't have a "Paywall", what ever that is.I already use the software, so I cant sign up. Fire your web-master. I’m fine with that. Aha. I don't get that on my desktop, even after removing all the cookies.
On my mobile, I got it, then logged in (and ticked keep me logged in) and couldn't get it again. But if Shinobi gets it everytime, I can see how it is annoying. |

I got it once (on the desktop) and have not seen it again.

The first time I saw that page, was with the link tonyh205 just pointed out... And I routinely go directly to worldcommunitygrid.org to check my stats and the forum. Perhaps it's disabled for those who are logged in?
----------------------------------------It does seem to be more informative about the project than the stock homepage, but perhaps you should at least keep the regular navigation section at the top, so current users can easily get to the "My Contribution" page, forums, etc.? |
