Going to worldcommunitygrid.org gives the following page:

My FF browser [now 41.0.1] automatically prefixes www. if absent, in fact I only ever type addresses without www. Can't remember but it could be an config option in FF. Also use HTTPS only add-in, to force a more secure connection across the internet [http might get phased out].

... but I can reproduce your problem when the redirect kicks on to worldcommunitygrid.org/index.jsp
