Hello crunchers I was just thinking about the fact that it's not fair if your PC or PC's have earned trusted status where you are consistently returning good results and beginning to receive work where the minimum quorum is only 1. I think those crunchers have earned the right to get double or triple the credits for the value of work their trusted PC's are contributing to the project what does everyone think??

The trusted status is transitory. Leave this topic alone. The question of points has already been thrashed enough.

Points allocations have to be seen as being fair and not favoring particular contributors or projects.
----------------------------------------There are a lot of possible justifications for allocating points differently than the current process. But any sort of bias being introduced to the system is going to be perceived by most people as unfair. I think my machines would probably qualify for the bonus you propose, but it's more important to me that other people interested in WCG not be put off by thinking that we play favorites. Perception is reality in the vast number of situations so even if you can make an argument for something being fair, it also has to be perceived as fair. ![]() ![]() |

Well I'm a little confused with the term favouritism which I would say is more closely related to nepotism, undeserved preferential treatment. I'm talking about the value of integrity which I guess is not really valued in this organization oh well I can live with that... lesson learned thanks for the replies anyways.
