OK, guys...this is 4 every1 of d DINOSAURS here, that stuck around & got 2 this EXCLUSIVE club of 1%...congratulations!
----------------------------------------but this topic has not been opened just 4 us...it's a idea that it's a way of our conversation & meeting, on which we can establish some way of donating 2 WCG our computer power...some Q have been asked on previous finishing of FA@h, r asked now on finishing of FA@h & MCM project: 1. how r we going 2 act on ANY finishing of the project? do we select it also on last 1m of crunching? or maybe we do if 1quarter be4 project ends? or just 15d be4 it ends? 2. how r we going 2 support community with out previous knowledge we have here? 3. do we establish some guidelines about conducting crunching here? example: abandoning only crunching data of new projects, by selecting @ least 2 or more projects we pursue? if u have more Q we can establish as a ground rule 4 us all...feel FREE 2 add on... ![]() ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by KLiK at Sep 8, 2015 7:44:32 AM] |

----------------------------------------I may be one of those "old dinosaurs" who appreciates being able to read. I have a terrible time trying to read the text Klik writes with all the shortcuts taken as if he(she) is texting someone. It does not take that much more effort to at least try to spell out your message - please. Thank you.

OK, here is without shortcuts:

KLiK... first of all, you posted a topic (as I understand it, "how to finish a project") in the "Website Support" forum... a topic which doesn't have any thing to do with the the software used to run this website.
----------------------------------------I'm also not sure what "1%" has to do with it... your post is for only people who can deliver 1% of the daily returned results? That would only be 5 or 6 crunchers. If you feel so strong about finishing a project that is in EOL, I would suggest that you organize a Challenge. ... and yes, reading your posts with the 2s and 4s is very hard. If it's an important message and you want people to read it, put some effort in to it. CJSL Crunching for a brighter future... |

Sorry, but I really detest participating in threads that are seen as being exclusive OR threads being run by one member and which appear to be for their benefit.
Being in the top 0.080% shouldn't entitle me to a special thread. I'm not that special. ![]() |

@cjslman
----------------------------------------this is supposed to be a chat between the TOP 1% of crunchers here on WCG...about getting some "ground rules here", a pinnacle that other people here (other 99%) can look up to... you are a close to that...so keep on crunching & get more muscle into machines u own! (check your signature for more info) Sorry, but I really detest participating in threads that are seen as being exclusive OR threads being run by one member and which appear to be for their benefit. Being in the top 0.080% shouldn't entitle me to a special thread. I'm not that special. ![]() would you mind tell me by what do you mean? there is NO BENEFIT here...just a way how we approach each individual NEW project...& how we END up projects here... like in many other things, newbies will have to have guidance...& some rules that we agree on, would only impose on those in TOP 1%...others may follow! remember, we do this for the science... 'cause we do own fastest machines here & do the most work! ![]() |

Sounds like a solution looking for a problem. LOL. Not sure I understand the question or the solution. Pretty much how I feel when I watch Jeopardy. :) As for rules, the first rule of crunch club is that you don't talk about crunch club. ![]() ![]() |
