Just installed TThrottle. Works like a charm. I looked up my processor and the Tjunc is 100C. My temps were around 81C before TThrottle. In TThrottle I set it to 70C and it's working great. Fans are much quieter and the mother board temp went down as well. Thanks for the info. did u set it to run automaticly? so it can tthrottle down the BOINC calcs according to temp? also, if u use GPU 4 calcs...set the same temp. 4 GPU...'cause it's (usually) on the SAME HEAT PIPELINE! ![]() Yeah it's set to run automatically. And I have the GPU set, but I can't tell the difference, WCG hasn't given me any GPU tasks yet, only CPU. And I'm pretty sure this GPU has it's own cooling. On the back of the laptop there are two exausts, right now only one of them is pushing any hot air. When I'm gaming, both of them are pushing hot air. seems like u r correct on that, different GPU cooler from CPU: http://www.tomshw.it/forum/attachments/portat...sus-rog-g750jx-j750jx.jpg about GPU computing: http://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/GPU_computing feel free to select d project that u like! personally I work on SETi@home - least demanding on GPU...& can do work on computer, while crunching data! ![]() ---------------------------------------- [Edit 2 times, last edit by KLiK at Jun 18, 2015 7:54:55 AM] |
