I have Samsung Ultrabook Laptop computer. It's lightning fast and very well built. It has an intel i7 CPU but running bionics, I only get 4 jobs running not 8? I looked at my device manager profiles and it's set at 16 CPU. Why is this happening? Oh, I did get back on WCG yesterday. I was off the grid for awhile.

Bob F,
You don't specify the model of CPU, or ultrabook, but just because it says i7 doesn't mean it has 8 threads! For example, the Intel® Core™ i7-3517U Processor has only two cores, four threads. Could this be the one you have? |

Bob F, the simplest way to find out is open BOINC Manager and hit Ctrl+Shft+E to open the event log. Scroll to top and select 40 lines, copy those and post. This will give the basic setup and configuration of what BOINC thinks you have and allow.
