Hi Everyone,
I have a couple of computers which I want to crunch Outsmart Ebola together 24/7. Within the device profile, I have only OET ticked and I have also ticked "If there is no work available for the project...", in case the well runs dry. However, I would like not download FAAH WUs when this happens (CEP2, MCM, UGM are ok). Is there anyway of forcing this to happen? |

By unchecking "If there is no work available for the project..."
----------------------------------------There's currently no way to "prioritize" subprojects, so you only get "backup" work from certain others. |

I'll try that. I've been having issues with not getting OET wus and I am afraid that if I untick "If there is no work available for the project...", I will have cores waiting around for work to do.

Well, you could simply check some other subprojects so you get work from them as well... Or, if you don't like the other WCG subprojects, you could find another BOINC project to keep your machine(s) busy.

A secondary preferred selection does not exist in the BOINC distribution / feeder system. There's only a primary choice and a fallback to 'everything else'. There's ways to limit the number of unwanted to just 1 processing with app_config.xml, but you can't stop them coming. Some manually delete the unwanted ready to start once a day as else they build up in the buffer queue.

I increase the "Minimum work buffer" so that the PC always has units waiting in cache to be processed even if there is an outage for half a day etc.
