I have a computer that periodically loses internet access, and I have to reconnect every day or two. Boinc does not download extra tasks to be "ready to start" so the computer often sits for a while with nothing to do.
Is there some option to specify how many tasks to download? Bob |

Under BOINC manager look in the advance tab for preferences and then increase your buffer to 2 to 3 days.

Please perform a manual update (BOINC manager, projects, update) and paste there the log.

Under BOINC manager look in the advance tab for preferences and then increase your Minimum work buffer to 2 to 3 days. Cheers Insert bolded words for emphasis. Additional work buffer is a rather ineffective function, only useful if there are no tight limits on the amount of assigned work to a host for a single work fetch. |
