One of my computers does not queue up "ready to start" tasks

I have a computer that periodically loses internet access, and I have to reconnect every day or two. Boinc does not download extra tasks to be "ready to start" so the computer often sits for a while with nothing to do.

Is there some option to specify how many tasks to download?

Bob

Under BOINC manager look in the advance tab for preferences and then increase your buffer to 2 to 3 days.
Cheers

Please perform a manual update (BOINC manager, projects, update) and paste there the log.
this will help to understand why you do not get tasks.

Insert bolded words for emphasis. Additional work buffer is a rather ineffective function, only useful if there are no tight limits on the amount of assigned work to a host for a single work fetch.
