Re: GPU Work???

Take a look at POEM@Home. I have crunched for them for many months and they usually have a good inventory of GPU tasks and they are very generous with credits if that is your motivation.

Obviously you have some excellent equipment to offer for worthy research.

I will monitor the "Boinc Synergy" team site and see if you log on and begin GPU crunching.

Re: GPU Work???

Billy, have you ever seen any results from them (POEM)? Have they ever published anything worth seeing?

Thank you in advance,

b.

The group does publish, but it is not at all clear how the GPU results are being used.

However, they do have a new peptide project, and lots of work units.

I think the project has value, but they don't do a very good job of informing us what it is.

You do need a recent card; it was developed for the AMD GCN architecture (7000 series and later), but I have found it works even better (i.e. more efficiently) on the Maxwell cards. I have GTX 750 Tis and 960s on it at least some of the time.
