Think that email bombing, what you are calling, for is not a good idea.
In computational chemistry and biology the deployment of graphic cards , GPGPU's to be precise, in doing specialized large scale calculations is well know, like over-sized ASICS, but it must fit. Heck, MRI analysts are now using it to render 3D 'images' in a fraction of the time it used to take on CPU's. IBM/WCG from their part do promote the graphic solution if possible, in fact they're expert in assessing if a computational method employed is suitable for porting as they're doing the griddification of the applications, and -do tell- the scientist if it has the potential. MCM seems to have this possibility. One other science was mentioned, but DNRATM which. |
