( I am German. I do speak german. Sorry, if I could not find the right words on Inglish to say what I want. But I hope you will understand me. )
The WCG did not have GPU work. Who can help to create requests ( wu s ) for GPU? I use Radeon R7 240 . It has single and double precision. It works for example on Einstein@home. If we could use our graphic cards for WCG projecs, it would be come faster to results. I know the different bulding architecture of CPU and GPU. Normal programs for CPU could not run on GPU. It needs to write a program for GPU use for ATI AMD Radeon graphic cards and another program for Nvidea Geforce. Because a program for Nvidea could not run on Radeon GPU. The structure of this graphic cards is different. More efficient in parallel work is Radeon, because 5..... are built. On Geforce are only 4 ...... (Sorry, I forget the Inglish word for that hardware component on graphic cards) So I do ask, who can help to write programs for using GPU for WCG projects? |

It is down to the project scientists to make the decision whether to invest resources into developing GPU.
----------------------------------------Some projects, e.g. CEP2, are not suitable for GPU. It is possible that MCM1 will become GPU capable but there's no timescale for this. |

I think it is a pity that the projects doesn't use this nowadays.
----------------------------------------It is a lot of heavy crunching power out there that is left unused and cold! /andgra ![]()

True andgra but for instance, the Fightaids project software simply wouldn't benefit from GPU's. They would not get the same results they get on CPU's
