Yes the policy is overdue for review, not the first time in recent months to be discussed. It was directed at the HCMD2 days, but in knowing, to overcome the present, loaded up on MCM+UGM+CEP2+BETA, which gave me a buffer depth max of about 55 work units per core/thread. The lowest cache remaining after WCG resume was 18 hours computing to do, BOINCTasks projection :>)

My android suddendly stopped getting new VINAs, receiving message that "no tasks are available for faah-autodock" which we know but should be irrelevant for it, but also a message saying "Tasks are committed to other platforms". Were all VINAs switched to faster platforms that were previously doing autodock?

When there are too many errors or no replies on one platform, repair distribution to that platform takes prevalence and all slots get swamped. Sending out new work becomes secondary. The other possible reason is, that too many errors are occurring on Android, at which time the task is one time tested on another platform to see if the task is broken. Just give it time.
----------------------------------------BTW there are now OET1 (Ebola) and FAHV (AIDS) workunits being sent to Android. Adjust the project selection if you want also the former. Increases chance of keeping your droid busy. Crowd Crunch On. P.S. Not widely known, the new applications are only supported on Android 4.1 and up. Google has started to enforce the use of Position Independent Execution compliant apps. @Techs, maybe another footnote on the Minimum System Requirement page in Help, if you can convinced. Thanks, I see that although I haven't had one myself, I think, there's a huge amount of Error results on many work units' results lists.
----------------------------------------Also while I'm writing this post I noticed that it managed to get a new vina already. As for OET I've had it enabled all the time on all devices, but didn't get anything yet, might be that the other projects have higher prority (UGM and FAAH)...? And VINA did a weird thing, a work unit it sent me yesterday was already "too late" when sent back today... :/ Guess just normal boinc stuff. Too Late is a generic message. In short it doesn't mean what it says. For a longer answer, check the FAQs or the many times this has been addressed in the forum.

Thanks. Well, I didn't quite expect that a result status that seems to have a pretty obvious meaning actually stands for something else, but now I see why that happened - that particular result had a lot of errors on other users' devices.

Yup, "Too Late" (because there were too many errors, not expecting a valid quorum within the maximum distribution... transport to take-out list). At some point they will be recirculated to reliable hosts, or processed on the in-house cluster. Credit for time is still granted with sometimes days delay, just before removal, so you might not see it ;O).

Haven't received any VINA since 12:12 UTC. So far, have downloaded 600 OET units. looks like I'll be doing OET for awhile until VINA comes back.

You are quite right... Was in a hurry and wasn't descriptive enough. Looks like FAHV (vs VINA) started showing up in my queue again about 21:00 UTC.
