 . My charts run in 5-7 seconds when BOINC is paused and 20+ seconds when BOINC isn't, and that's allowing the program to only use 4 of 8 threads to render the charts.  But, normal typing and browsing you'll only rarely will get the 'feel'. For these circumstances there are extra preferences and configuration functions to have the client automatically pause, such as during gaming or streaming video viewing. |
