While we will be closing out this phase of the project on World Community Grid,
So HFCC is no longer idle, it is finished, but we can look forward to Phase II in the future! biggrin

Here the reasons why a HFCC 2 is needed:

February 15th

Every year, 2,500 new cases of cancer are diagnosed in children and adolescents in France.

Identify new treatments

In fact, "the cancer research is largely focused on adult cancers.
Only 2% of funds are allocated to pediatric research. "The priority therefore invest more to "develop new specific molecules to children and accelerating clinical trials incorporating this age group."

Steps to develop a new pediatric molecule on the market today are very long.

The objective is to improve the management of the 60 cancers occurring in children, especially more frequent than are leukemia (30%), tumors of the central nervous system (24%) and lymphomas (11%).
