One of my system can't connect to WCG and can't get any new work, below is the error message I am seeing.

The absence of a closing tag is a recurring thing it seems. What version of agent have you got on there? Suggest at least upgrading to 7.2.42 or 7.2.47 depending on platform to rule out the agent side of things. Think though the server is digging into it's ol' bag of tricks, very busy backend 'time out' causing the scheduler response file to be cut off prematurely. Is the device on a different local network by any chance having slower service, noting that wcg seems rather slugging today when looking at timestamps of work requests and getting a reply back.

I already tried to re-installed the latest version 7.2.47 (downloaded from WCG). I did both a repair and a remove/re-install, but no help

anhhai, IIRC, this error often resolves itself after several hours, maybe up to a day.

since the admins are busy with other problems and I ran out of WUs (and most of them seem to have been reported), I went ahead and deleted my boinc directory (that saves info about the computer and WUs) and re-installed again. Not sure how much work was lost, but at least now my system won't be sitting idle for days
