Re: Outsmart Ebola Together - Crunching Chart

There was a pattern with FW and S workunits before the new WUs started shipping. That pattern was broken with the new WUs, beginning at batch 1930.
As for checking the percentage, maybe extrapolating helps a bit by looking at the batch numbers and completion times on my computer.
1930 Wed 30 Mar 14:08:53 UTC 2016
1938 Wed 30 Mar 16:38:52 UTC 2016
1947 Wed 30 Mar 18:58:04 UTC 2016
1959 Wed 30 Mar 21:16:50 UTC 2016
1970 Wed 30 Mar 23:15:03 UTC 2016
1978 Thu 31 Mar 01:01:25 UTC 2016
1983 Thu 31 Mar 03:00:09 UTC 2016
1991 Thu 31 Mar 05:09:17 UTC 2016
2000 Thu 31 Mar 06:54:53 UTC 2016
2007 Thu 31 Mar 08:48:59 UTC 2016
2017 Thu 31 Mar 10:36:10 UTC 2016
2022 Thu 31 Mar 12:39:34 UTC 2016
2031 Thu 31 Mar 14:46:52 UTC 2016
2039 Thu 31 Mar 16:26:45 UTC 2016
2047 Thu 31 Mar 18:28:21 UTC 2016
2055 Thu 31 Mar 19:53:54 UTC 2016
2063 Thu 31 Mar 21:51:33 UTC 2016
2068 Thu 31 Mar 23:28:29 UTC 2016
2072 Fri 1 Apr 01:23:23 UTC 2016
2077 Fri 1 Apr 02:51:17 UTC 2016
2081 Fri 1 Apr 04:36:48 UTC 2016
2087 Fri 1 Apr 06:27:00 UTC 2016
2092 Fri 1 Apr 07:38:47 UTC 2016
2098 Fri 1 Apr 08:08:20 UTC 2016
2103 Fri 1 Apr 09:07:36 UTC 2016
See? The WU batch numbers are steadily increasing.
Looking at batches 1970 and 2068 you could say that a thousand(Edit: a hundred ( biggrin thanks, SekeRob!)) batch numbers are processed per day. So, in 30 days (1st of May) we could be reaching batch #5000.

Re: Outsmart Ebola Together - Crunching Chart

Special Dutch math "say that a thousand batch numbers are processed per day"?

Latest is 2277 in my queue on 5463, which 41% or so. At WCG's 2% a day, we'll be done before the end of the month. thinking **

(They really should rechristen those progress bars to 'in-rollercoaster-bar' silly )

** It's part of some scheme... by redirecting badge hunting energy away from dismally failing HST supply chain and upsizing the OET tasks, and as was posted by anhhai in the UGM crunching chart thread, a fetch now giving 40 UGM jobs tops instead of 32 (the daily batch # increment has not changed, even dropped), techs substantially reduce the work-request hitrate on the scheduler this way... daily total WCG WU validation dropped from 1-1.1million to < 800K, 7 day rolling. It looking likely to drop further.

Re: Outsmart Ebola Together - Crunching Chart

To keep with today's trend, the progress is 83 % now.
I think the total number of batches might have been reduced because of the new bundled units.
Still haven't seen anything from the WCG staff - looks like they forgot to come back to work after Easter holidays?

Re: Outsmart Ebola Together - Crunching Chart

84% today, CEP is decreasing, from 50-49% and OET is increasing :)

Re: Outsmart Ebola Together - Crunching Chart

I guess this puts a big fat hole in my efforts to reach diamond (unless something is added on). No big deal, this is the project that I have returned the most results. I'll keep crunching OET and see where it takes me. Might mix in some of the other FAH2 or HST WUs.

Re: Outsmart Ebola Together - Crunching Chart

This sudden and rapid increase towards the end date for OET, certainly has me questioning as to whether I'll be able to achieve my goal of Sapphire. "In theory", I should, with room to spare - although it really depends on whether the project end date comes in any further. Other than a handful of UGM WU's (that I'm loath to abort), all my cores are now on OET (and that includes removing CEP2 from the mix - that is, when there are any).

Boy, we often complain that the project scientists don't post here often enough - but there again, at times, the WCG tech staff aren't that communicative. After all, I haven't seen any explanation as to why this sudden increase.
