Re: Outsmart Ebola Together - Crunching Chart

Take them "as is" and don't try to comprehend.
Ok, so we must assume that there is some sort of intergalactic force (not to be confused with "The Force") that is interfering with the true progress representation of the project and should be taken with a grain of salt biggrin . In other words, crunch like hell !!!

Thanks,
CJSL

Re: Outsmart Ebola Together - Crunching Chart

May the force be with you, then. o0 [But in present projection there's 2+ years left... plenty time, not even knowing how much the 'over-long' running batches will take in retention till whenever.]

We're racing forward again, but hardly any gap... seen almost all batch numbers going from 1888 to 1898, the latest highest, and of latter got a full max-queue minus 4 Beta still running. 1898 is swinging between 7 and 23 minutes [on the 4770 at 2.8Ghz, meaning if it were set at 3.7Ghz it'd be doing in instances less than 5.5]

Giving people hope of 2y = 24m is not so good...as a Moore law will speed up our calculations...so we'll go from 24m -> about 17m to the ECD!

ECD are great to be calculated, but those are given only in "current speed"...as a Moore law has been proved, we have to take that in calculus...otherwise we are just "amateurs" in our own predictions!

Re: Outsmart Ebola Together - Crunching Chart

Sure there is Moores law, but the ECD also depends on the amount of active projects here at wcg.

Re: Outsmart Ebola Together - Crunching Chart

Now 80% and ECD in July. So today's increase is 2% only.

Re: Outsmart Ebola Together - Crunching Chart

When dango posted, I looked and saw 78 too, when you posted about 80, looked again... within a span of 40 minutes 2 percent.

Shakes head and walks away.

I suppose it's because the progress is updated every day at ~8-9am GMT.

It certainly makes it fun to guess where the percentage will land next, much like a roulette wheel. smile Perhaps this is a big setup for an April fool's joke? wink

Re: Outsmart Ebola Together - Crunching Chart

81% now.
I was expecting something like 137% today (4/1).
