cool Suggestion for a new BOINC

Hi all,
an idea came to me for making BOINC better for use with CEP2 project (& any similar future project). As u know CEP2 has a long time between saves of the progress of WU. So could we have another row with "time & date" of last save, that would update with every last save of the WU's progress.

thx

p.s. Please add yours suggestions also.

Re: Suggestion for a new BOINC

Wrong place to suggest, Berkeley write Boinc, not WCG

The boinctasks application already does/has that showing how much time has passed since last checkpoint, which is more useful to me, plus it counts the checkpoints. For boinc you can set a <checkpoint_debug> log flag so they will print in the event log. Got that permanently set. Then you can read back when the checkpoints were made, and thus see the different times the 8 jobs need to get completed.

As you can see from the highlights, 25 checkpoints, the last 7:58 minutes ago.

Dr. anderson has boinctasks on the third party add-on software list, of which there are quite a few: http://boinc.berkeley.edu/addons.php
