hi all,
I just installed boinc and tried to add wcg to my projects. I created this wcg account, but when i input the nickname and password on boinc, i get the following error on the next screen: "Server Messages: missing or bad parameter: email_addr" can someone help me with this? I haven't found anything about this problem... cheers |

Huh, yesterday provided you with a workaround which resolved the problem, and now you re-post the same issue?

That is weird that OP is posting again after your solution was presented. However, I am having the same issue with login and I tried doing the boinc cmd line only to come up with 'authorization failed -155' do you have any suggestions for me lavaflow? Thank you!

Both this OP and the other one are (almost) from the same time (20 mins time shift), both posted prior to the first answer in another thread, this one just appeared a day later. I don't think it is an OP's fault.

The -155 error when adding wcg also sits in agent test version 7.4.8. Did write up how to get around in this post: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewpostinthread?post=475617
'My' recommendation: If you don't want to run test versions, which í'd relegate 7.4.27 berkeley 'recommended' to be too, go back to any of the client versions shown on the wcg download page. A report was posted the wcg-add issue also exists for the mac version of agent 7.4 |

The old 'assume' did it's work again, multiple fixes now in development to get around the issues:

I forgot that WCG uses user names rather than email addrs. D'oh! 7.4.8 already had this broken, puzzled how this remained so long unnoticed in the testing environment. Maybe at wcg the volunteers like to stick to the tried and tested and vetted version, 7.2.42+.47  |
