Re: Water cooling - Which order for the components?

Mamajuanauk,

What I have heard is that each water block adds about 1 degree centigrade temperature to the cooling liquid. Running in serial is fine. What I would try with your rig is to run the liquid through the GPU's, then through one of the radiators, then through the CPU's, then through the other radiator. If that keeps things cool, great; if not then you can separate it into two loops.

Hope that helps.

Be sure to let us know which way works for you.

Re: Water cooling - Which order for the components?

@captainjack - yep, that's the plan to have heat generators just before each of the radiators, to increase the cooling before the liquid moves to the next heat generator set.

The real question is whether or not a dual loop system would be of any real benefit, given that there will be 2 heat generator sets and 2 radiators, will it actuaslly make a difference or be of any benefit?

Many thanks for your comments...

Re: Water cooling - Which order for the components?

I'm starting to rebuild this machine into a fully custom loop watercooled system. If anyone's interested I'll post some basic outline, not a full build log. But will include parts list (those listed above have changed) and photos, brief discriptions etc...

Let me know...

All stop! The waterblocks don't fit the GPU cards...

Back to the drawing board!
