Re: Water cooling - Which order for the components?

There is a pretty good biocide called pt nuke. comes in 2 types.... don't mix them.

The D5 and variations on the theme are great pumps, certainly from a longevity and flow rate point of view and probably have enough head even for 4 modern cpu blocks.

EK do a combined D5 pumptop/reservoir that is worth a look at.

http://www.ekwb.com/shop/reservoirs-and-acc/res-pump-combo/ek-d5.html

Got one in one of my duallies with D5 Vario, ek supreme blocks and an Alphacool NexXxos XT60 280 which is total overkill.... I just built it because I could.

current pump setting = 3

Incidentally, I use car radiator anti-freeze @ 10% as an additive. I keeps the system clean at the cost of a little cooling performance

Re: Water cooling - Which order for the components?

very little difference unless the pump is underpowered or the gpu blocks are very restrictive. I believe most go with serial.

If you were running two pumps on the other hand then serial is the way pumps should be connected

Re: Water cooling - Which order for the components?

You have a bunch of rigs..... I want to show you something I built for running a number of rigs.

XtremeSystems is down where the more complete version is.... but the link should give you the idea

Re: Water cooling - Which order for the components?

@OC - Super, wish I had room for something like that, I could build something similar, may still look at it in the new year...

Watch this space...

Re: Water cooling - Which order for the components?

Guys, a question for some advice if I may?...

To start here are the components:
Case - Corsair 900D (monster full tower)
    MB - EVGA SR2
    2 x X5650 (2.67Ghz) CPU OC @ 3.4Ghz (may go higher)
    3 x HD7970 GPU
    1 x 420 (3 x 140) Radiator (to be mounted in the roof)
1 x 280 (2 x 120) Radiator (to be mounted in the base of the case)
    3 x FC EK7970 Waterblock
    1 x GPU/WC EK Bridge
    1 x Pump (500 LPH)
1 x Reservoir (CD bay fitting)
The question is whether to keep this as a single loop or split it into two loops?

I may well add the other 2 GPU's later and the MB water blocks if I can find one/a set

Your comments/advise would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks
