Well, thanks for info. But, who will run BOINC on iThings anyway? CMO. I would...on my iPhones & iPads! don't forget about a market share of Apple iOS: https://www.netmarketshare.com/operating-syst...x?qprid=8&qpcustomd=1 40% is a LARGE number! ![]() |

But like klik said, the apps could be already in the boinc app, then for each work unit it only has to download some small files which say what's going to be running in that task. I'm sure it could be done if the techs thought about it more. I remember one of the boinc devs saying they could ask Apple for an exception. in 1 business I used 2 work in, d idea was always 2 be solution oriented...so I found out that when u r solution oriented, u have no problems - just some small obstacles in ur way 2 success! yes, BOINC 4 WCG can be made with FAHV & OET exec...so that it only downloads WUs 4 crunching...I think that wouldn't collide with Apple rules! please, correct me if I'm wrong? ![]() If the apps came built in, and it just downloaded the compounds it needs to test and uploaded the results when complete, I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem. |
