Im not fussed about the recruitment badges, people who I have introduced to the grid usually just prefer me to add their machine to my account so I can admin or remove it remotely without them having to do any setting up at all.
I dont find them offensive, it can clearly be gamed, i could detach systems then 'recruit' them myself for badges but I have better things to do with my time, its just another case of minor Gamification, people i find, in general like more little badges and stats (I do too! thats why I have the nice little sig that shows my stats etc the same as alot of people on here do). I dont think it really detracts from the research that is being done, its not going to produce a huge change in the number of active users, but any extra completed work units that are voluntary [and not from drive-by installs... RIPPLE :)] is surely a good thing? as well as perhaps more people being aware of the grid. |

I still have yet to see anyone with a recruitment badge. Me neither! I was intending to report them in my Cosolidated Milestones, Badges etc thread but none seen so far. |

None of the User names currently on the Leader Board feature in the 1,350 Forum Contributors/Globe Sig holders that I currently survey each week.
----------------------------------------I also note that the information does not appear to be included in the API and neither is the LeaderBoard itself. @ WCG admins jhindo TKH ErikaT Can you please advise whether it is planned for a future update to make the Recruitment Badges and/or leaderboard available via the API? |

Never could get it to work. I signed my mother up for an account with my referral code and she had validated results. No badge.
----------------------------------------My contributions clearly said one person for a bronze. That's been weeks ago. |

Here's one for you .
Nothing worse than implementing a system like this that's not working 100/100, if badges are drivers for a person. Why they are not shown on the leaderboard is another question, but suggest it's done without further ado. Somethings else, was there not going to be a recognition system for 'helping' posters in replacement of community advisors? Six months or more ago it was spoken about by jhindo to be a few months away. No, don't want a badge, but who says 'a' needs to follow up with 'b'. |

That's been weeks ago. We'd be happy to look in to this - if you'd like, please send me your mother's email address and/or member name via the Contact Us form. Thanks, ErikaT |

Sorry for the (very) delayed reply: but we have placed adding the Recruitment Badges & Leaderboard to the API to our backlog. Thanks, ErikaT |
