I used to be on your network for about a month through my PC .. But now, due to college and study reasons , I no longer turn on my PC , my phone is a windows 8 phone (Nokia Lumia 1520) and its processor is fairly stronger than many android phone ... Tried to hook into the network but you're unfortunately not supporting windows phone 8.1 ..... Please do smth about it .. I want to continue my contribution

I graduated from college in 2008, and spent a lot of time on the computer due to "college and study reasons", have things changed that much already?
----------------------------------------Regarding getting BOINC onto Windows phone, this has been discussed before. The summary is, it's not likely to happen from official sources until the market share for Windows phone increases a lot, but it could happen through an enthusiast group with the right skills. That's what happened with Android; before the official release, you had Native BOINC and androBOINC which were created by the community. |

How about developing Android apps for all projects before you expand to other platforms? It's up to project scientist to code the WUs for different devices, not up to WCG! As could be those projects coded for different CPUs than ARM proc... So the Q has to be addressed correctly first. ;) |

My recollection is, except for gpgpu, the porting to the different platforms is done by wcg programmers, of which there are few, salaried and not on a post-doc academic hunger wage. Well, maybe that's an avenue to pursue, hire those and offer them an ibm career as carrot.

I would also like porting on iOS, which has jumped from 15 to 18% in global market...
