If you are using Chrome browser likely chrome.exe is it's task and it would use significant memory.
----------------------------------------Suggest don't terminate any tasks but note those using most memory. You can click the column headings to sort. Also check Page File usage (PF). Info about BOINC can be found here: http://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/user_manual See also WCG help files: https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread_thread,21501 We were all beginners once... The BOINC Event (log) is like a diary/log that BOINC makes each time you turn on the program. It should have information about the problem. Most people, including myself, find it difficult to read and understand but others here will understand it and tell you what to do.
----------------------------------------To see the "Boinc log" and get the information they are talking about, turn your computer off, turn it on, turn on Boinc (so everything has a fresh start). Now with Boinc open you'll need to press several keys on your keyboard. On the left side of the keyboard press and hold CTRL, press and hold the SHIFT key and finally press the E key. A new window from Boinc should open. It will be a lot of lines of information. Scroll to the top of the page, click the first line, scroll down some, get around 50 lines or so down, then press and hold the SHIFT button on the keyboard and click the 50th or so line. Now those first 50 lines should be highlighted blue. Look at the bottom right of the window, you'll see several buttons. Click the button that says "copy selected". Now come back to the website you are on now. Right mouse click the box to reply to this message, select "paste" and all 50 lines of information from Boinc should be pasted here. Click "reply to the post" and you're done. ![]() |

CTRL+SHIFT+E all at the same time. Or you can click on 'Advanced' tab at the top of the screen, and then Event Log. If you can not see the Advanced tab, then first click the tab 'View' and then 'Advanced View'. |

So far, I am not getting anywhere with my problem (ERRORS). |

What version of BOINC are you running ?
----------------------------------------Either right click on icon in the windows taskbar (bottom right) and select "About" or open BOINC manager and select "about" from Help menu. Paul.
