best settings, contribute more

Hi all Im Matt

I hope I am posting this in the correct forum, but anyway iv installed world community grid and have been using it for about 5 days now

but what I want to know is, how can I contribute more, I mean what settings can I change to enable my pc to contribute more as tasks seems to take hours to complete

I have the settings set to use both my CPU and GPU and also the setting is on so it use 100% of my CPU, but it still seems to take a while

can anybody recommend and setting changes

thank you

What projects have you signed up to?

CEP takes many hours to complete a WU.

FAAH & MCM are quite a bit shorter.

What are the spec's of your PC?

BTW, there are no GPU projects available on WCG.

Hello Matt,

You will dramatically increase your output if you leave your computers turned on 24 hours a day (no sleep, just hibernation or turning monitor off). With your i5 CPU, instead of your current average app. 8 hours runtime per calendar day your production will jump to app. average 3.5 days per calendar day shock

But never forget this will also dramatically increase your bills for electricity d oh

Cheers and good luck

How do you know he has an I5 chip? Have I missed something?

I know Matt said "iv", but I think that should have been "I've" perhaps that could be taken as i5 - but in Roman numerals! :)

arnie2014,
Welcome to the forums. Go to Settings (top right) --> Device Manager and select the profile you are using. Then click on the button for Maximum Output and then save.
