So I've installed BOINC on my computer that I'm using...here is the problem - can't get through to the project!
----------------------------------------the cc_config.xml is setup like this: <cc_config> the proxy is setup-ed on port 80...here is the Log file:

I have no experience of using a proxy but I notice that port 80 is mentioned several times. Port 80 is for normal insecure internet useage. WCG uses secure internet protocol using port 443 when communicating from my PC to WCG.
Have you asked your network colleagues what you should use? |

Looks like the get request to google worked but those to WCG and Berkeley did not.
----------------------------------------May be the proxy is blocking those sites. Do you have permission from your company (Siemens?) to use their connection ? I clicked on the WCG and Berkeley links in Chrome and got an xml list of projects returned. Does that work for you from a browser on the PC with the issue ? Paul.

Does that work for you from a browser on the PC with the issue ? Paul. What do you mean by "clicking BOINC or WCG in Chrome"? But notice that I'm surfing the web with Opera from job...and open the BOINC web page, WCG web page, this forum - no problems! Looks like the get request to google worked but those to WCG and Berkeley did not. May be the proxy is blocking those sites. Do you have permission from your company (Siemens?) to use their connection ? I clicked on the WCG and Berkeley links in Chrome and got an xml list of projects returned. Did notice before that your proxy uses 'basic' per the logs, not gss-negotiate, so where are you putting this file? It does go in the root of the boinc data directory, not the boinc agent directory, and generally best the agent is restarted to make sure all options take effect.
