No badge for it, but after 3 million results, I finally passed the 1000 year milestone.

No badge for it, but after 3 million results, I finally passed the 1000 year milestone. Great! So, what hardware are you running to get that many results? This also points to the need for more badges for MCM, by the way, so I'll gladly ask for 500/1000/2000 year badges here once again. |

Hi thunder7,
I forwarded the request for additional badges on to the team. The tech team said they will look into adding these badges soon! |

Hi thunder7, And while they are at it, they might wanna look into getting the old color scheme back instead of the nonsense palette that is being used the last 2 years now...I forwarded the request for additional badges on to the team. The tech team said they will look into adding these badges soon! Ralf |

Hi Ralf,
I have passed this feedback regarding badges to the team in the past. We carried over the IBM-designed badge system and feel that the current colour scheme is functional and uniquely identifies each project. |

In the Help pages there is a section about badges: "What are Project and Recruitment Badges? mentioning:
Project Badges: There are 11 levels of badges awarded based upon how much computing time a member has contributed to each project: — Bronze - 14 days — Silver - 45 days — Gold - 90 days — Ruby - 180 days — Emerald - 1 year — Sapphire - 2 years — Diamond - recognizing higher levels of contribution of 5, 10, 20, 50 and up to 100 years of computing time A possible new text could be: Project Badges: There are several levels of badges awarded based upon how much computing time a member has contributed to each project: — 14 days — 45 days — 90 days — 180 days — 1, 2 and 5 years — 10, 20 and 50 years — 100 years (In this way - and in the near future - it would be quite easy to just extend this last item "100 years" and change it into "100 and 200 years".) |

Hi Ralf, I have passed this feedback regarding badges to the team in the past. We carried over the IBM-designed badge system and feel that the current colour scheme is functional and uniquely identifies each project. Good. Done and dusted. The problem is for most people not to "uniquely identify each project" but to properly identify the progression of the badges, which is rather randomly selected pastel tones. That some of the graphics of the icons have changed in that process is a rather insignificant detail. It is rather non-functional considering the intention of introducing the badges in the first place. And just to cover all the bases, changing the years in the badges should be possible just the same, beside that the number of folks that have a badge beyond the 100y mark is rather small anyway...
