Re: No WU for FAAH?

Just means the feeders can't keep up with the demand at times... yesterday 1.7 million results validated. Keep a fair buffer, if running a version 7, set a MinB of about 0.3 days and a MaxAB of another 0.3 days. This way requests for work are minimized, and if successful you get each time the buffer drops below 0.3 a new supply in one call of as many as are available to back fill the additional buffer. The servers like that... less scheduler hits.

Positive is that at least you get WCG work, albeit alternate. If as some write, 12 hours no FAAH work comes, then something is awry on the client side... is it the GPU scheduling side interfering?... I do not know! If running v7, uninstall and install back the 6.10.58 or the other way around if v6, upgrade to latest v7 [run cache empty as this may not be lossless in either direction].

Word is, WCG wont adopt v7 until next year [think of it as something synched with the web interface upgrade event]. Does not mean v7 not supported... well over 50% use v7, probably 60-70% by now, just that there are still quirks in the client. [v7.2.26 is presently tested as a potential 'Berkeley' general release candidate... Clint would say 'do you feel lucky?']. WCG will watch the stats and see how that will perform over a longer period.

Re: No WU for FAAH?

I checked all 8 XP 2GB 2GHz (No GPU) devices. All were set for FAAH, some for FAAH only. Some were getting VINA. Some were waiting long periods to get even one FAAH. Always the message "No tasks are available for FightAIDS@Home - AutoDock". I upped the cache to 2 days. One device got one and continued to ask for more. The rest nothing. I then changed the profile for those devices to FAAH only to include Clean Energy even though they do not meet the sys requirements. Suddenly FAAH VINA flood in. I will now convert them back to FAAH only and wait to see what happens.

Re: No WU for FAAH?

FA@H alone, not getting any, adding CEP2 and floodgates open on FAHV [there only few faah inbetween]. Let us know if the fetching stops again when switching back to FA@H only, and we'll put the Techs on alert. Do post the messages.

I've had the inverse on a Linux machine. CEP2 would not coming although all settings met requirement, so let it crunch something else. After 1.5 days or so suddenly the CEP2 started arriving, all this time my CEP2 only box just churning them through at from the never stopping conveyor-belt. Had set the min to 2 allowed to ensure there would not be a bandwidth hurdle to take. 2 and more works as override.

edit: If there is not faah you get the No Autodock, but then you also should get the No FAHV-VINA, which is probably the area where the feeder switch may have hung. Not good.

Re: No WU for FAAH?

Toggling the profile worked. Receiving FAAH uninterrupted for FAAH only profile.
