Noted in the SN2S forum by some, but in hindcast for the 7.06 FAHV, shocking to find that latter at times is taking over 700MB. A sample:
----------------------------------------7.06 fahv FAHV_x3AO2_IN_FBP_0046453_0150_0 02:00:52 (01:37:23) 8/3/2013 6:10:28 PM 8/3/2013 6:10:28 PM 80,57 OK! 713.94 MB 716.48 MB Last 2 values are the peak Virtual and Memory. For the SN2S 4AOD and 4AOE I'm seeing constant 400-500MB usage in the history, and the record keeper for today is 578MB, and not finished yet: 6.20 sn2s SN2S_4AOE_0000077_2319_0 02:01:36 (01:38:50) 81,27 92,500 00:08:53 05d,15:43:39 8/17/2013 4:02:10 AM [3] 00:21:21 Running 576.45 MB 578.28 MB The 65,000 dollar question is: Do these also go to mobiles... all from the same pool? Android crunchers beware [Those are 'smart' phones and tablets BTW running on a Linux variant, not cellphones ;P) The 65,001 dollar question is: Does this add to the error rates? Devices assigned work based on a 100MB limit test, but choking on the big values. (silence is not golden here). edit: spellcheck on title. Errata: Did realize just now that SN2S has not been released to Android yet... one reason maybe just uncovered. The FAHV warning stands.

I am running two 8 core systems with 4gb of memory each running SNS2 exclusively. Both are running Linux Mint 14 - 64bit. They have both run flawlessly on this project with 99%+ CPU vs. elapsed time, so no problems here.
----------------------------------------Cheers Edit: Me too; I just noticed that this was in the Android Support Forum.. oops:)

I have 2 Ubuntu 12.0.4 VMs running SN2S exclusively. I noticed one day that all processors weren't running WUs.. turns out I'd exceeded the max RAM that I'd configured. I bumped those numbers up a bit and reconfig'd both from 2gb to 4gb and everything was fine. I've checked in here and there and the total consumption seems to have dropped back to the point where 2gb would suffice. I kind of came to the conclusion that one of the targets must have been rather large.
----------------------------------------I also run a Ubuntu 12.0.4 VM dedicated to FAAH. I check in on it too and haven't seen total consumption (with system) exceed 500MB while running 5 threads. Edit: I just noticed that this was in the Android Support Forum.. oops:) Edit 2: Just checked my FAAH VM.. 5 Vina jobs, 750MB.. figures:) [Edit 2 times, last edit by Former Member at Aug 21, 2013 4:17:49 PM] |

Same here. I have a laptop that will switch to 7 cores due to the memory limitations. If I set it any higher the machine becomes horribly sluggish. Those SN2S work units really tend to hog memory as I've never seen this with any other combination of projects.
