Re: User Study Results - Post your thoughts!

Why the heck would I want a Certificate to hang on my wall? Who sees it? Who know who/what WCG are?

Whereas hundreds see my badges on here and can regognise what I have achieved!

Ditch certificates and concentrate on badges. wink

Read it again:) 11.8% want better recognition (slide 6).
That's fine. I saw that. Now show me where WCG has agreed to respond to that interest, please.

The last slide shows that you've been heard.. other than that I'm not really sure what you're expecting. BTW: A SNURK sig shows years, tflops and number of results.

I watched it using VLC on Win 7 and had no problems with the sound. The graphics were a little spotty due to the angle of the camera, but even so there is a ot of information being presented. I enjoyed it.
Cheers

Re: User Study Results - Post your thoughts!

I also found it interesting and informative. Could not get it to run on any standard Win 7 or 8 features and had to download VLC.

Nice to be able to visualise our two main posters, Kevin, who I already knew as Kevin, but we now have Keith, instead of the more impersonal Uplinger! wink

All we need now is better info on what the plans are to improve the website/forums and the final reconciliation between BOINC and the old Grid.org software.........please! biggrin

This is a "must watch" for anyone serious about WCG/DC. I too had to use VLC as Windows would not play it.
There is a lot of good information here about the survey, WCG priorities and future directions.

Re: User Study Results - Post your thoughts!

I converted the file, so if it is not against WCG rules, you can download it as a mp4 or mov file.

Beware: each of them has 280 MB whistling

Cheers peace

ETA: great presentation, congrats guys and thanks for sharing it with us.

ETA2: this video file is much smaller (119 MB) and could also work for you wink

Re: User Study Results - Post your thoughts!

I played the file just fine using SMplayer.
Maybe you need to install the codecs?
