Evening all. So when does the RTS48 Garden Show begin on TV?  Good Morning All. Ha ha genhos, no plans to open my garden to the public at the moment but I will make two small observations, 1. There is not enough room on modern TVs to grow plants and 2. When I owned a large cabinet installed BUSH TV and we had a couple of plants on top, my (then) wife over watered them and blew the TV. If you follow my pictures on Picasaweb you will see additions as things grow and are planted. At the moment we are having a no-holds barred war with the local ant population which has decided that my Hibiscus bushes are an ideal source of leaves for their underground garden (the B*st*rds)

Evening all.
----------------------------------------Really thought we were going to get a huge thunder storm a couple of hours ago. A couple of rolls of thunder, then started to rain with some big raindrops then it rained normally for about half an hour before stopping. Was hoping the thunder would clear the air a bit but no. Hopefully RTS48 you can resolve your ant problem and no lasting damage has been done. |

Gardner 1 Ants 0 - half time score. Looked hard today but could not see any ants. The denuded hibiscus is busy putting out new shoots. 27 sunflowers in seedling stage have emerged and the Morning Glory is ready for planting. My Nasturtiums are growing too - soon it will be a riot of colour.

Morning all.
----------------------------------------Good score there at half time RTS48, hopefully the second half will be just as good. Dad planted some small sunflowers this year and some of them were red in colour, was a bit odd seeing sunflowers that weren't the usual yellow. Been on chicken feeding duty this morning with the folks being away  Crikey they don't half grumble and moan. At least there weren't any half shelled eggs in the run.
