Re: CEP2

It seems that CEP2 is now expected to finish around Sept 2014!! sad Although this could change.

jhindo has provided this clarification:
We calculate the end date for each active project but will only display it if (based on current data) that date is within the next 6 months or so. I will say though that several factors and variables go into calculating the end date, some of these change from time to time. So don't be surprised to see those dates get updated as those factors change.

For more details, refer to the project timeline FAQs .

The impending end of CEP2 is now not! (As I always thought wink )

We got some updated numbers for CEP2, the progress is now around 62%.

As recently as Jul 10 CEP" was shown as 97% complete!!

Goodbye

I'm awfully sorry but my wife has told me to stop doing WCG, we just got our electric bill and it was up significantly. I knew it would go up a bit but it was more than I can realistically sustain in the long term. Once I have got my silver badge in FightAIDS@Home I will stop crunching. Hopefully when my money situation improves I can start up again.
I will hang around the forums and keep an eye how the team is doing.
Thanks for the welcome and all the advice.

P.S. Yes, My wife really does wear the pants in our house! ;)

Re: In Other News

Will you be including me before I'm a member of the UK team?

Unfortunately I can't (at the moment) sad The source data is captured daily from the WCG provided UK Team stats.

If you follow this link (for each of your accounts) and work backwards to calculate your to date stats as of 31/12/13 I will be able to make the necessary adjustments.

I have started to capture your daily output stats from Jul 9, and note that the Mamajuana acciunt was last active 03 July 2014 confused
Ok thanks Jonnieb-uk we'll wait until I join...

Mamajuana account has been clearing down jobs on a couple of machine, now it's clear it's going to be retired for now. I'll update my sig to reflect this.

Re: In Other News

....yes, one account will be better when you join the team, otherwise, you will split your figures and take longer to smash us all and reach the top! wink devilish

this is a first draft. E&OE!
No adjustment is made (at this time)in respect of Team members joining WCG and/or the UK Team since Jan 1 2014 e.g. Darkmatter.NI joined Jun 8
I think that when our big hitter (Mamajuanauk) joins you may have to make an adjustment! devilish

Sorry about the news.......but.............you do not have to stop altogether. Just remain as you are and let it crunch away when ever the PC is switched on, it does not have to be left on 24/7! A couple of hours per day while doing something else is still a welcome contribution biggrin

Re: Goodbye

I'll talk it over with the wife, I can still use my new builds as long as they are ok with the electricity use, I don't get why my electricity went up so much! It wasn't as if my computer was on any more than usual and the CPU is pretty frugal really.

It's on my "to do" list.

Experience has shown that it's easier to construct the basic spreadsheet covering 95% of the data first and then work backwards to handle the exceptions. wink
