All appear to be DOA sad

Of the 15 members joining this month 10 are DOA; 2 returned 4 results between them and have subsequently fallen InActive; only Darkmatter.NI and jacquiob appear to have caught the bug and are staying the distance.

Seems the OS manage to scramble itself. Hopefully it should be sorted on 48 hrs. My man seems confident there'll be no loss of data. Fingers crossed!

Get the machine back Saturday so normal service shpo;d be resumed by Sunday wink

An intermittent fault on one of the fans caused the power supply to cut out and, sods law, it was during a windows backup which led to the scramble.

Techs said the fan was probably superfluous but I've elected to replace it. Better to be safe than run the risk of overheating when crunching full on especially if summer really gets going or we get a GPU project.

amaryllis-angel has installed a device and as of lunchtime had 4 validated results with more since. biggrin
