Re: In Other News

Excellent news TMC. From what you say it does seem confusing but lets hope you two can get back to normality again!

Welcome back Labinopper.

Re: In Other News

Research Support Coin
As of today, you can participate in the Research Support Coin program even without joining our World Community Grid team! Simply register at our website (www.researchsupportcoin.org) and you'll receive RSCs for your WCG points every day regardless of what your current team is.

This makes Research Support Coin the first BOINC-based-mining coin that doesn't require joining a team!

However, our WCG team members will remain advantaged, since the RSC/WCG ratio will be halved for non-team members.

What do people think? Is there a downside or hidden pitfalls?

As I'm dubious of these virtual money doo-berries, I'll be giving it a miss.

Re: In Other News

Thanks for the welcome backs guys =)
Glad things are OK TMC =D thats all that matters eh!

Atleast there is something new coming up! I feel like I've missed out on everything seeing as out of the like 20ish projects I've only really been involved in 2 =( I don't really have enough memory to get heavily involved in CEP2

In regards to that Research Support Coin I may look into it and let you guys know how it is, as I've been keeping an eye on the Bitcoin/Altcoins in an attempt to make millions from nothing =D I got a plan to make me megarich... just gotta be optimistic and hope that some of the other coins can go up in value by like 1,000,000% like the Bitcoin did!! haha

Re: In Other News

**dons his mathematical hat**
At the beginning of the giveaway, 100% of RSCs is available. On the first day, the payout rate will thus be
1 WCG point = 0.01 x 100% = 0.01 RSC.
After 50% (600,000,000) of the RSCs is given away, 50% is still available and the payout rate for the next day will be 1 WCG point = 0.01 x 50% = 0.005 RSC.
After 86% (1,032,000,000) of the RSCs is given away, 14% is still available and the payout rate for the next day will be 1 WCG point = 0.01 x 14% = 0.0014 RSC.

Basing this on my account from start to date, I have just over 5million points, but I'm keeping this simple ish, so I have 5 million points and 1,351 RT days, averaging at 3,700 points per RT day

Those 3,700 points, based on the above quote from RSC website would mean at the very best 3,700 WCG points = 37.00 x 100% = 37.00 RSC
Note 2: Of course this currency doesn't have any value yet, so right now is more for fun than for profit. However, we believe it will have some value in the future.

https://xrptalk.org/topic/2197-annrsc-research-support-coin-starts-on-ripple/

37.00 RSC = £0.00 according to their own advertisements =D

Thing with all coins is they can go either way quite easily, but its a safe assumption from what I've just read from that second quoted link that RSC won't be anything. Ever.
You'll notice a Forum Administration for the XRP coin is basically attacking the creator of the RSC for 'holding back' so many coins, if you say that the RSC becomes worth £1 each they've put out £1.2bn out to everybody, and kept £0.8bn for themselves.... way to make themselves rich =\ Also if RSC was to work, realistically speaking it couldn't be a Digi-Coin with a value, as what would the point of us 'earning' them through WCG, if someone else could just go and buy 10,000 of them on a whim?? and nobody will really invest in them hoping for the value to rise, when the creators of RSC are holding back 40% of the coins for their own personal use/value

Could be a little hobby of collecting RSC, but, they'll never be used for anything, or worth anything, and just eventually lost, just keep stacking up RT and WCG Points ;)
