Further clarification on the Sept 2014 project end, this time from uplinger:
Ok, so here are how things are calculated form our end.

The research scientists tell us how many batches they are planning on running through World Community Grid. (estBatches). There are a few more values we use like batches completed and batches in progress (compBatches). As well as the rate of which results are being completed over a 30 day average (rate).

(estBatches - compBatches) / rate = numDays.

If numDays > 6 months, we don't display the date. If it is less, then we go back to the researchers to ask them for an updated batch count or if the project is really set to complete.

Again, these are just estimates, and they change based off a script that estimates them daily.

Hope this helps a bit more on the explanation of things on our end.

No news yet [Points for FAHV], I have been pretty busy, I hope to get a work around soon. However for those curious, we have just released some new work units for FAHV that should checkpoint more frequently, probably close to every 5-15 minutes.

Research Support Coin
As of today, you can participate in the Research Support Coin program even without joining our World Community Grid team! Simply register at our website (www.researchsupportcoin.org) and you'll receive RSCs for your WCG points every day regardless of what your current team is.

This makes Research Support Coin the first BOINC-based-mining coin that doesn't require joining a team!

However, our WCG team members will remain advantaged, since the RSC/WCG ratio will be halved for non-team members.

What do people think? Is there a downside or hidden pitfalls?
