It reminds me that we haven't heard/seen from the BlueBoy - gordoma - recently, though he is still crunching albeit at a much reduced rate.

Forthcoming changes in FA@H-Vina and MCM1 posted by uplinger
[MCM1] is technically not at full speed, but within the next week we will be doing some changes to the work units and project weights. By this I mean we are going to reduce the size of the work units for FA@H-Vina and increase the MCM1 application weight to have it's runtime be more evenly split.

I also noted this from ErikaT (Admin):
We are aware that the website needs re-translating. We are waiting until we get more of the work (re-branding, etc.) done first, before we tackle the re-translation.

I have a jaundiced view of "re-branding" as a concept. All too often it's:

  • Make-work which adds nothing of value.
  • Diverts scarce resources away from what really matters
  • A smoke and mirrors exercise which substantially changes nothing.
but thats just my opinion! wink

I have asked for a bit more info on the altering of Vina jobs. Hoping it will either add more regular checkpoints or reduce the time between existing checkpoints. But we'll see.......
