Morning

Has anyone seen a 4k monitor up close? Was planning on getting one for CAD work and wondered if they are worth the cost. Would get a 60Hz and not the cheaper 30Hz if I get one.

Team has recently overtaken Wales, to move up to #12 in the overall GB team BOINC rankings biggrin .... Not sure about the validity of some of the Stats on this site though, as many teams registered (not us) significantly negative scores on 4th April (-107,740,790 for one team shock ).

I think I will wait until the technology is more advanced. Hopefully it will be in time for the new X99 chipset so I can build a monster PC.

The GPU to drive one of these displays will be immense. Hopefully WCG will be running GPU projects by then to make full use of it. biggrin

Looks like the stats for climateprediction have gone loopy to give the huge minus scores.

The stats are, of course, still being generated but they're hopelessly skewed compared to the norm. sad

Today between 00:01 and 12:00UTC only 39 team members managed to upload results when I would expect to see >50.

The Temporary nature of the MCM1 disablement has been further clarified by uplinger:
When we get back into normal uploads [estimated to be ~3 days] I will re-enable mcm1 but at a lower priority as to prevent large results from getting us again.


And for those of us who worry about such things the Result Status popout problem appears to have been corrected. The format corresponds with remainder of the website - logo, colour etc. Alignment is as it should be and, most importantly, in Quorum2 results My WU is now highlighted.

Progress is being made clearing the backlog engendered by the system problems. As a result 65 team members have been able to upload work as of the 20:00UTC update. smile
