This is good news. I'm still far from sapphire and for some reason WCG doesn't seem to be sending me CEP units.

Has this only just started to happen or has it been an ongoing problem?


Its ongoing. Sometimes the client claims I don't have bandwidth (which is not true). When it finally manages to correctly check my speed, it only downloads a single work unit, and a bunch of work-units for the other projects (which I haven't explicitly enabled, but have the "when no work is available for my selected projects, get some from others" enabled).

This is definitely caused by the default setting on CEP2

Project Specific Settings
Number of workunits per host for
The Clean Energy Project - Phase 2? (towards the bottom of the page)

A lot of problems surrounding CEP2 work can be overcome by setting this to something other than 1.

If running multiple CEP2 WUs at a time causes problems for your machine you can restrict this by adding a line to an app_config file.

Prompted by Maugan I've updated the spreadsheet showing UK Member Ranking Targets (and amended it to accommodate future idiosyncratic name changes*).

  • "Live" members only (currently 98)
  • Page for each of RunTime, Points, Results
  • Based on 24 day average production (will be 28day shortly)
