Forum chatter and personal experience indicates there is a system problem at this time!  09/01/2014 20:35:48 Temporarily failed upload of MCM1_0001262_0081_1_0: transient HTTP error [Edit] Looks like it started around 18:30. No team uploads between 18:34:35 and 20:00 21:56 Problem appears solved. Manual forcing of uploads may be requred to override BOINC's automatic deferment timer. |

YOINKS!!! Just had a quick gander at my units in progress, got a MCM at 11hours with a further estimate of 18hours to complete There does seem to be a number of MCM1 WUs which are running longer than the ~6hr average. Another factor in the lunchcrunch figure probably of more significance than CEP1 WUs given the team's project mix. MCM cubes Mapping Cancer Markers Scientist posted: As currently planned, over the course of the project, MCM will proceed in four phases, analyzing a different cancer dataset in each phase. The first (and current) phase is focused on lung cancer. So far, MCM work units have explored the space of lung cancer signatures that are composed of 10-20 genetic markers at a time. We estimate about 350,000,000 work units in total for the project (counting redundancy) -- about 80,000,000 to 100,000,000 work units per cancer. We are delighted by the incredible response to this project. Thank you all for making this project possible with your enthusiasm and your donated CPU cycles. Todate WCG has returned 25,572,462 WU Results. Rough calculation: 350,000,000 - 25,572,462 = 324,427,538 to do. Averaging ~500,000 results daily so ~ 648 days work remaining! On thats basis (and given the recent acceleration) the whole project could be finished in a year. |

And looks like the big CEP units are back. Got one on the go at the moment with 9 hours on Job 2 and still going....... Thanks for the heads-up.  It will be interesting to see how the Points (for CEP) change. The shorter WUs caused havoc. In early November the team averaged 198.9pts/ph for CEP; in late December 131.6; last 7days 177.6  Finished my 1st long CEP2 WU (zero quorum) - CPU time 16.4hrs/Elapsed time 18.09hrs Credited granted 64.9!! ! ----------------------------------------The spreadsheet/report requested needs some major updating to include the 10+ new members since Nov 2013 and to revise the input source from screen scrapping to xml data. It's on my "to do" list but may tale longer than 48hrs.  |
