By now, I hope that even those unlucky enough to have to work on Christmas Eve are either home, or well on their way there.
Merry Christmas to you all! |

Happy New Year to everyone. I'm now back from my self imposed exile of 3 weeks in The Bahamas although I managed to crunch reasonably well during the period.
----------------------------------------New Years Resolutions? Try to replace my 17" MBP which died last year with a 6 core screamer. I do need to sell my flat in Solihull first though!

Hi DC,
----------------------------------------The team stats site was not updated last night night. Nothing wrong, I hope ... ? [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Jan 13, 2019 12:44:33 PM] |

Just noticed that this morning (sorry, been busy all weekend). Still not working - my gatherer is keeling over for unknown reasons. I'll have a look this evening, but in the mean time, if anyone else has time to check the other forums to see if there's a
----------------------------------------known problem, I'd be grateful. I just noticed that Snurk's signature is showing more up-to-date data than mine is, so it's probably my problem.

A quick naughty peek (not supposed to whilst at work) suggests it's encountering a team member (not necessarily of team UK) with a non-existent join date! Interesting :-) Obviously, my code needs to be more robust, but that sounds like bad data in IBM's database. Should be a straightforward fix tonight.

Apologies for me not spotting the stats problem earlier, and apologies for not having fixed it yet. As I indicated earlier, the problem is being caused by a team member having a non-existent join date.
----------------------------------------After an hour of fiddling about (most of which was trying to remember how to back up the database and how to build my software), I have discovered that the name of the offending team member is "Anonymous", the join date is not specified, and the user id is zero. I am 99.9% certain that this is the first example my software has encountered of the changes due to the dreaded GDPR. This might be a trivial fix, but I'll have to think about what to do, and I'll have to test it. I don't anticipate these changes being huge, but the biggest problem is that there's no way I can track anonymous users, so I'll just have to completely ignore them. That will mean that things like member rankings could be wrong in absolute terms, but will still be correct in terms of those who aren't anonymous. Hopefully now I've got my development environment working, I might be able to fix it tomorrow morning, but rest assured I will get it going again some time this week.

No need to apologise, Dave, and commiserations and thanks for having to work through this.
