In Other News

Managed to track down dubmail.net one of our earliest members 21-Nov-04:
Yes it's me. I should probably change the username now though. Will watch out for the project.

I'm not currently crunching on my machine but I installed the client on a couple of machines in a call centre the other year and they still seem to be going

Screen Scrapers - Please Discuss
We rolled out the first change of the changes to our website that we are going to be frequently doing over the next 3-6 months. The HTML structure is going to be changing a fair amount as we do this rework and screen scraping will not be a reliable way to access data on an ongoing basis during this work stream. I'd like to hear from those people who are doing screen scraping and let us know what you are doing and what data you are going after and we can see what we can do to help you let your tools remain stable during these changes.

Guess thats me!

My principal use of screen scaping (via multiple member comparison) is to mine data on activity - i.e. Last Result Returned 08/11/13 21:37:07 [1+ hour(s) ago] which is not available elsewhere.

Project MCM (or 1900 to you non-Romans)

Have picked up 3 of the new MCM units while still having a beta unit being processed which seems a tadge odd to have betas still being processed when the new project they are for has started. I picked it up at 18:27 on Nov 8. Ah well, will leave it to process through.
