Good afternoon everyone.
More self inflicted computer grief (think I have sorted properly this time. Started with bare bones box and installed Mint Mate 64bit. Name of machine changed to one of Douglas Adams creations. ![]() |

Have you updated Mac OS recently, Rod? It could be the ghost of Steve Jobs telling you upgrade.

Dave it's probably the ghost of Steve Jobs holding up two fingers. I upgraded to Sierra recently and my computers have seemed to slow since then. It's all very well having 2.93 GHz (plus turbo boost whatever that may be) when 2 or 3 cores seem to be dedicated to admin tasks which I can't track down.

It's a well known "fact", which Apple deny, that each OS update is deliberately slower than the previous one, to encourage you to upgrade your hardware. I don't know how much truth there is in it.

Final post before I do some work... Welcome to the team saturn-VI. Please check out my stats site in week or so (it's better if you've been in the team for a week), if you're interested.

Good morning everyone.
Well things look a bit more stable with Majikthise. Will it continue? Who knows? Congrats Herr Statsmeister or should I say Dave. ![]() |

Good Evening / Morning all.
----------------------------------------I like your computers name domonijo - a famous DA philosopher along with Vroomfondle. What a great 5 book trilogy that was but not a patch on the radio series which I listened to the first time round and then went out and bought the scripts!
