Good evening all. The red beacon that was my head has now dimmed somewhat and I am no longer having trouble with aircraft thinking it is a landing light.
----------------------------------------Im having a bit of a problem with a drainage pump at the moment. The pit that contains my main pool pump, the filter and all the valves and switch gear has mysteriously been filling with water. All valves have been closed off and the pump dismounted and put on the bench. While dismantling it, three frogs hopped out of the motor cowling. I tried the pump on the bench after freeing it off but it still doesn't run. Do you think that the frogs were an integral part of the motor or just the drivers? ![]()

Good morning everyone.
Rod, good to hear that aircraft are not using your head as an air navigation aid. Cannot say much about frogs being part of, or drivers in water pumps. Perhaps you may need to consult with Ratty or Toad for further information. ![]() |

That sounds a bit like something from a Terry Pratchett book, Rod.
----------------------------------------I've spent several minutes trying and failing to think of a suitable pun, but I'm sure there's one somewhere.

Good morning everyone - a bright sunny morning here today with a promise of 35C. I doubt that any of you saw it reported on the news but Aerosmith were due to perform here last night ($350 a ticket). Only problem was that the roof of the stage collapsed in high winds on Monday and the concert had to be cancelled. Yesterday evening, Santa Cruz seemed full of people wandering aimlessly. Rumour has it that there were visitors from all over Latin America who had planned their trips especially to catch this concert. What a shame, I hope they get their money back.

Good afternoon everyone.
Rod your comment on the Aerosmith gig did excite me and then read the bands response which has slightly hacked me off. To the relief of all Aerosmith fans, the organizers report that starting December 1 they will proceed with refunding tickets purchased in all authorized outlets. The refund mechanism will be informed through the official sites of the production company/b] Isle of Wight gigs during early 70's were managed better. (Rose tinted glasses pointing backwards on). |

domonijo That's a shame. Whether you think that $350 is a reasonable price for a ticket or not it is certainly a lot of money for the average Bolivian where a normal salary is not much more than that for a months work. To have to wait 6 weeks for a refund (provided you bought the ticket officially) is really not acceptable.

On my work machine, Zika units take about 2 hours. I had one that I just aborted, that was already over 20 hours, and had advanced from 99.995% to 99.997% over the previous 2 hours. I've never seen anything like that before.
