Re: Good morning team

With tonight's stats update I will pass 9 years RT for MCM so still hoping to get a Diamond 10 before it finishes. The borrowed works laptop has been suffering from the heat a bit so had to tone that one down a bit, hoping to get it back to full tilt now the temperature has dropped a bit. praying

Do you run this genhos?
http://efmer.com/b/?q=tthrottle
I found it works pretty well for keeping the heat/fan noise in check on laptops.

Re: Good morning team

Must admit I haven't tried "tthrottle", I have seen it mentioned in the forums here a few times and been meaning to have a look at it and for one reason or another never managing too. The office I work in is always warm and with the heat recently it is even worse, and there's no budget for air-con!

I've tried to raise the laptop a bit to get some more airflow so will give this a go tomorrow, cheers.

Mamajuanuk - you should hit 1 billion points in a little under 2 years time (721 days according to my totally accurate predictoriser). And 1,119 days for the team, at which point I'll do you a special signature with fireworks biggrin

Good morning team

Good morning everyone. smile

A follow up on yesterday's memeories. Whilst at the Prince of Wales theatre during the "Sweet Charity" this was the Stelmar Carbon Arc 4Kw, 12volt DC follow spot. Outside the projection room were 3 Mercury Rectifiers. http://villagehallcinemas.co.uk/%23cinema/cinephoto/misc_arcs___spots_4.htm
At this time there were still 2 different electricity supplies 220v (50 cycles) and 240v (cycles) the L.E.B. still had to finish voltage change over.

The console was a Strand Electric Grandmaster which some cues required 3 operators.

Re: Good morning team

Good Morning All!

3 days of freedom and the Belgian F1 GP to boot. My partner has gone off to Cochabamba with her son leaving me to babysit eight cats. Whew - not sure that I am up to the responsibility. Do cats drink wine? I'm sure that they will eat absolutely anything I put in front of them though.

Don't forget to join WCG TEAM UK facebook group if you haven't done so yet.
