Vina Graphics Crash in 7.03 - Resolved with 7.06

I tried choosing "show graphics" on the client for my first Vina job. A window popped up momentarily and then immediately crashed.

Re: Vina Graphics Crash

After you try and launch the graphics and they crash check the slot directory for a file named stderrgfx.txt and paste the contents here. If you are not familiar with where the slot directories are located please let me know what operating system you are running and I will point you in the right direction.

Thanks. I had to increase my cache size until I got another Vina job and tried again. Here is the stderrgfx.txt contents:

09:30:08 (3668): Starting graphics application.
Successfully loaded '../../projects/www.worldcommunitygrid.org/fahv_image02_7.03.tga'...
09:30:09 (3668): Close event (Idle GFX) detected, shutting down.
09:30:09 (3668): Shutting down graphics application.

That doesn't look like it crashed; rather that it immediately decided to terminate. I have an ATI Radeon HD 4670 graphics adapter. The graphics works just fine with the regular AutoDock jobs.

The graphics are a separate BOINC process... just in case, check your security for wcgrid_fahv_graphics_prod_64.exe.7.03 or what looks like it as this is the 64 bit version.

The graphics are a separate BOINC process... just in case, check your security for wcgrid_fahv_graphics_prod_64.exe.7.03 or what looks like it as this is the 64 bit version.

I can't find any indication that the exe is being blocked. I don't have that type of security software, just MS Security Essentials.

It is not occurring in 4 Vina 7.06 jobs that I checked. I'll check some others when these complete, but it looks like it has been corrected in the new version. smile
