odd... if you attempt to log in, will it give you the option to resend the activation email? jc...didn't you post elsewhere that you got an error? ![]() Yes, I did. Then I had to go through "the procedure": Using Opera, I made The DC Zone my start page, enable all cookies for the server and "other" cookies, shutdown Opera, set Zone Alarm Pro to accept everything but third party cookies, re-started Opera and presto! I am a Jedi Software Warrior. ![]() |

wow... one wonders how you manage to surf the internet under such tight security...lol. Oh yes, to finish "the procedure" (I also did this with Firefox), *after* being able to login, I then re-set my hope page to my normal home page, refused all cookies in my browser (because The DC Zone was already accepted and logged) and also set Zone Alarm Pro to not accept any cookies because the DC zone was already accepted in the settings. Tada!!!! ![]() |

I tried registering last night and never got the activation email either. ![]() John, which browser and firewall do you use? Maybe I should start a thread at The DC Zone in the software section. Think I was using IE6 at the time. On my main internet box I switch between FF and IE. Hafta use IE if I want to see HTML images in my Outlook mail. For some reason, the images won't load if FF is set as default browser. Outlook is version '03 if anyone can tell me why. Anyway, I didn't retry to get in the forum 'cause it was late and I was getting blind with fatigue. Crunched my butt off today for 42 results and over 6K points and still can't catch Basogard. Somethin' very weird goin' on here. |

Morning All
---------------------------------------- Well done on your red stars to the recent 100k'ers!! I didn't have a problem registering on the DC forum, but my email is on a different PC to the one I was browsing the forum on at the time. I clicked the link in the email on the other PC, closed the window saying I was activated and then went back to the other PC and logged into the forum fine. Using FF on both. On 8th August, I wrote: I just passed 50,000 in my last stats update... it's good in my own little way! Green star on my sig soon I hope! I wonder if I can make it to 75,000 points in my first month? |
