I noticed my points were way down and it appears boinc is not getting any ati work to do. Cards are available but not being used

The relatively obvious follow up question. Does the project have plans for having another project which uses GPU capabilities. If so (and I would guess the answer is yes), is there any announced timing?

Hello BarryAZ,
Right now, there are no forthcoming GPU projects scheduled. This is decided by project scientists, not WCG. WCG intends to be ready for GPU computing, so we can hope that this will cause some future project to opt for GPU processing. Lawrence |

thank god , i thought something was wrong . I also did not get GPU task since about 3 - 4 days ago

Thanks for the information -- with POEM also in 'thin GPU work unit availability' that pushes some of my workstations back to Collatz for now. It would be nice to know when (if ever) World Grid will have a new GPU project. Oh well, it was a nice run anyway. Barry |

Im considering just closing my account I have 4 i7 3820's, 5 ati 7870's and a 6950 sitting idle I think maybe its just time to move on. the "scientists" can use someone elses computers I was averaging 1.25 million points a day

Im considering just closing my account I have 4 i7 3820's, 5 ati 7870's and a 6950 sitting idle I think maybe its just time to move on. the "scientists" can use someone elses computers I was averaging 1.25 million points a day You know you could use the CPU's here and the GPU's somewhere else...  - AMD Ryzen 5 1600AF 6C/12T 3.2 GHz - 85W - AMD Ryzen 5 2500U 4C/8T 2.0 GHz - 28W - AMD Ryzen 7 7730U 8C/16T 3.0 GHz |
