Do you need a router or just a switch for your dsl line ??? I have a ton of switches and would gladly send you one...I may have a spare router around the house somewhere also...Of course these are all land lines, not wireless....

Thanks guru...but things work ok as it is.
I have a router but don't wanna run wiring upstairs.......and the rigs may have to be moved soon anyway. I actually prefer caching and manual sending |

A reminder: The power source for your switch or router is 110v and 60cycle AC (I presume since you are in the U.S.). In England, they are 240v at 50cycle AC. This comment is being added to indicate that that to use your equipment in England would require a replacement Power Supply gizmo.

Regards to all Hi All Here's a handy voltage compatability map for anyone who is wondering about something similar: Many devices now allow for these differences. For instance, just having a look on my Thinkpad power supply, it says: INPUT: 100-240V~ 50/60Hz ...so I can use it anywhere with the correct plug/socket adapter. From my experience of recent trips over to the US, I know I can also use my Sony Ericsson mobile (or cell if you prefer) phone charger and Canon digital Camera Battery charger over there. However, I've found that my electric toothbrush charger and my wife's hair straighteners don't work over there. (Just looked at my Netgear FS108 Ethernet switch adapter, and that'll only do 240v/50Hz, so it's clearly dependent on the individual product) |

Thanks for the heads up everyone....I think that I will stay with the 110v for now as it is hurts a lot less then 220v when you get shocked...
